ST CLAIR and TALLADEGA CO AL

I am researching the Kelly (Kelley) family in St Clair and Talladega Co AL. The oldest ancestor was To bi As Kelly who was married to an Upper Creek Indian woman (unknown name). This ancestor was referred to as To' Kelly and lived on a large amount of land that bordered on the Coosa River which divides St Clair and Talladega counties.

I believe he had a son named John O. (Oppollea) Kelly and John had a son named Tobias Kelly. By the time of the younger Tobias Kelly, who was born in 1804 in St Clair Co, these Kellys were shown on the US Federal Census as white living in Talladege Co. The younger Tobias Kelly obtained a land grant in Texas and brought his family there bet 1840-1850 and lived in Texas the remainder of his life.
