Hi, looking for information about my 2nd great grandmother Amelia "Millie" Cobb who married Joseph Rue. My line comes from their son Richard Waterhouse Rue. I can't really find a lot at about about her or Joseph. I do know of a story my Great Aunt Louise Rue told me (she's gone now). Apparently their daughter Mary Jane was raped by 2 Union soldiers and 3 of the brothers went after the soldiers and killed them. After killing them they enlisted in the Confederate Army to get away. The Union Army couldn't locate the 3 boys so they got Joseph and hanged him instead. Richard, my great grandfather was one of the boys and was 14 when it happened so that would make it about 1865, Frank (Francis Marion) and Joseph A. (H.?) were the other 2. Of course I don't have any proof of this and can't seem to find anything, just a story from my Great Aunt.
Does anyone know anything about Millie, where she burried, where's Joseph burried?
