David Brumfield Died at his residence in Little Hickman, Feb. 15th, 1888, at 6:30 p.m., after a short illness of only nine days. It is our sincere regret and painful duty to chronicle to the surrounding country the demise of our life-long friend. Knowing him for a lifetime, we never knew but the sunny side of his jovial and good nature. We always knew him as an honest, upright, lawful and useful citizen. He was a valuable and esteemed member of the Christian Church, a member in good standing of Lodge, No. 301, F. & A.M. He was a loyal Democrat, as far as he believed what was right. He carried the mail faithfully from this place to Nicholasville for about eighteen months. We deeply mis his familiar face and smiling countenance every other day. His brother Masons quietly laid his remains to rest, at his home yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, with their mysterious signs and tokens of love, in the presence of his grief-stricken family, and host of sorrowing friends. Fairwell, Uncle Davie! We hope you are at rest, and extend to your grief-stricken family our most heartfelt sympathy.
