Looking to expand limited Jackson information from my dad's records.

Joseph Jackson, born 1787 in Prince William Co Virginia. Registered in the army in 1809 and fought in the Battle of Fort Erie in 1814. Mustered out of the army in Buffalo, New York and then traveled "home" to Fayette Co Pennsylvania with some army friends. While there he met and married Sarah Ann Orange btwn 1816/1820.

They had Eight children; Susan, Sarah, Lydia, Mary, Elizabeth, William, Joseph Jr, and John W.

Marry Jackson married Andrew Levingston/Livingston. Her sister Susan married Andrew's brother Nicholas.

I only have one child listed for Andrew and Mary Jackson, Serilda Jackson born 1849. She married Lafayette D. Walcutt and had eight children, one of whom is my Paternal Grandfather Osee C. Walcutt.

No indication when the Jacksons moved from Pennsylvania to Ohio.

Im looking for Jackson's from the Dunmore PA area. They would be a William Jackson who married a Sabra Mead, they had a few children but my line is for George Henry Jackson who married a Elizabeth Mains.

I'm looking for some Kentucky Jacksons (in other words, needles in a haystack!) My great great grandfather was Warner Underwood Wilson Twiggly Jackson, son of John Jackson and Rhoda Gipson Jackson. Rhoda was born in 1829 so I would assume that John was born in that general time period as well. The family lived in Monroe County, KY but I know nothing else about John at all. Rhoda's dad was Larkin Gipson. His parents were Stephen Gipson (1740-1820) and Millie Jackson (1762-1850). I'd love to know more about Millie as well!

I have not worked on my Jackson line in some time. I need to get back to it. My line if Jacksons were from Sevier County Arkansas with Isaac Newton Jackson being my main study.

Hey Debbie,

I sent David Knight an email about the FTDNA results he posted at Ancestry. They report 2 markers different. He changed them and now we are closer related. So far Andrew is still the best hope for a perfect match!
