These are siblings, named as heirs when Mary Haines/Hanes/Haynes died and left property in Muskingum County, Ohio.  The father has been named as perhaps Thomas Haines but I have not seen any proof for that claim.  Thomas/unknown father died abt 1825, Mary purchased property in 1830 and died before 1840.

The only "proof" is that Abraham b abt 1807 m Harriet Harkens in 1828 and named his first son Thomas b abt 1830. Abraham m (2) Cassandra Wartenbe in 1834

Jacob b abt 1801 m Maria McGuire in 1822 had no living sons named Thomas - They were named Samuel b 1830, Abraham b 1834, William b 1836, Daniel b 1840, and Jacob b 1841.

Daniel b abt 1816 m Sarah in 1843 had son Thomas b abt 1849

Samuel b abt 1820 m Mary Ann Goff in 1842 had several sons, none named Thomas

Nancy b 1803 m Andrew Irwin in 1821 and had no sons named Thomas.

So if tradition was to name the first son after the father, only 2 of the sons did so.

Abraham was the only one to remain in Ohio, The rest of the siblings eventually all moved to Illinois.

Census's where they are named has all of the original 5 siblings born in Pennsylvania.

Who is the father? Any suggestions? Proof?
