Although they were from Mecklenburg County, Virginia, Eliza C. Goode and Frederick Short married in Warren County, North Carolina (across the border) 6 Dec 1823. By the time of the 1830 census they, and most of Frederick's family, had moved to Lincoln County, Tennessee (they had their first child there in 1827). An article in the Marshall County Historical Quarterly (Winter 1987/88) says that she was born in 1805, making her fit into several Goode families living in Mecklenburg County.

Looking for decendants of John W. Good, father of John Grant Good , John W. married Barbara Ann Comer. This family orgin in Page County Virginia(Shenandoah County). In the section of Ingam in the southern part of the county near Milnes (Shenandoah) Va. Also looking for land mapping facts to how big the orginial estate of the Comer's was when John W. Good Sr married into the Comer's family.
