My Georgia brickwall is Cyrus Cogburn (Cockburn?), born about 1782 in NC, died after 1850 probably Rusk Co., TX (no probate). His wife is unknown, but they had children (known) Levi S., Henry, Jackson, Tomlinson Ford, Luis and three girls, possibly Caroline E., Narcissa and Mary Ann. On the 1820 US Census Cyrus and family were in Washington Co., GA; 1830 US Census they are in Talbot Co., GA and 1840 in Macon Co., AL. His wife died sometime between 1840 and 1850. These Cogburns were potters.

Hi everyone - I live in GA about an hour from the Georgia Archives and National Archives Southeast Region:-)

I am looking for the parents of MARY BROWN; she is my 3rd great grandmother. She was born about 1824 in North Carolina. She married JOHN MCVICKER in Henry County on Oct. 20, 1842. Later, they moved to LA>TX.

Hi folks,

I have a small problem. I have a death certificate listing the father
of my subject as CLEM BYRD (Emanuel, Appling, Pierce counties in GA).
The only one I've found who had a relationship to the family at all
was a CLEM BYRD of Appling County, Georgia. Dates July 22,
1843-October 08, 1921. Son of Lewis/Louis J. Byrd and Sarah Purvis.

However, I found a marriage record which may show that the mother of
my subject married a F. H. BYRD (Hall County, GA). The only one I
found that matches is FLEMING H. BYRD of Hall Co., GA. Born Bet. 1867
- 1869. Died ?. Son of Thomas Byrd and Emeline Unknown. Brother of
Mary Marguerite Byrd, John Frances Marion Byrd, Sarah Byrd Jackson,
Emeline L. Byrd, Phillip R. Byrd, Green A. Byrd, Benjamin F./C. Byrd
and Lula Byrd.

So, now I don't know if I need to look for Clem or Flem. So I've done
some research on both. :-)

If you have Georgia BYRD/BIRD relationships, email me directly, and
I'll send you what I have on these lines.

I am hunting parents for my g2gfather, Thomas S. JORDAN, b. 1823, Macon, Bibb county, GA (according to family history - I have no documentation for this location).

I am also hunting parents for my g2gfather, Benjamin B. KING, who m. Elinor S. WOOD in Newton County, GA, in 1823. He was b. in either SC or NC in 1802, by family history.

Am also trying to document the info I have re: parents for my g2gparents Wiley Jackson CANNON and Harriet Elizabeth BROWNING who m. in Muscogee county, GA, in 1857 or 1859 (the marriage cert is difficult to read).
