I've changed this Discussion Category to be a place to discuss Lithuanian history and timeframes, the occupations, religious differences and similarities, ethnic and non-ethnic Lithuanians, etc.

I am woefully ignorant on all these things, but it seems these types of discussions should be grouped together.

IN LITHUANIA:
The Lithuanian Booksmugglers, or Knygnešys.  A very detailed site.
"Napoleon's Lithuanian Forces" on Lituanus.org
Understanding the Partitions and Occupations, in brief on Wikipedia.

Old Maps
People often ask for old maps showing the borders of "Lithuania" over time.  Here are some:
1555:  Parts of Poland and Lithuania
1576:  Map of Vilnius
1601:  Parts of Poland and Lithuania, in Latin.
1739:  Poland & Lithuania
1772:  Partitions.  Click to enlarge.
1799:  Map of the Partitions of Poland and Lithuania.  Very large and detailed, so make sure to click to enlarge it.
1821:  With Russian and Polish placenames.
1882:  Baltica
1902:  Poland & Lithuania in the Russian Empire and Prussia
1920:  "Poland & the New Baltics"

IN THE UNITED STATES:
If your public or university library has a subscription to JSTOR, you can access many scholarly articles on Lithuanians in the USA, including:
Lithuanian Immigrants in America, by Joseph Slabey Roucek in The American Journal of Sociology, January 1936
Lithuanian Immigrants in America and the Lithuanian National Movement before 1914, by Alfred Erich Senn & Alfonsas Eidintas in the Journal of American Ethnic History, Spring 1987
Religious Separatism among Lithuanian Immigrants in the United States and Their Polish Affiliation, by William Wolkovich-Valkavicius in Polish-American Studies, Autumn 1983

A wealth of articles on a myriad of topics, in Lithuania and in countries to which Lithuanians emigrated, is available at www.Lituanus.org

I found a website that chronicles the history and (known) biographies of the Knygnešys, the Lithuanian Booksmugglers. A fascinating slice of Lithuanian history.
