Swaledale calendar
I'm really pleased with the Swaledale Wood-Cuts calendar I had from CloseAncestry.com - thanks, Andy, it was a great idea! It's good to see where my CLOSE ancestors came from, and a nice reminder of a really enjoyable long weekend in the area earlier this year.

As you know I try to raise a few quid towards the www.closeancestry.com site costs, and all contributions are very much appreciated.
I had a couple of trips up to Swaledale last year. It's a bit of a bolt-hole away from the insanities of the world. I also get chance to have a dig (not literally!) around the graveyards in the area. With the CRO at Northallerton not a million miles away I can spend a day in the warm grubbing around the various Parish records. Roll on the warm weather.
Anyway, how are you getting on with the GOONS?

Have been gradually adding more records to my GOONS archive pages, but things have had to be put on hold for the last couple of months since I've had to move temporarily into full-time work. Hoping to revert to 3 days a week in July or August, leaving a bit more time for CLOSE research.
