Hi-
I have a Mary Evans circa 1799-188? who married a John Chandler in Philadelphia, I believe.
I have Mary in census records from 1860-1880 in Philadelphia. Her son Theodore was a grocer.

Hi Kate

Yes, I have noticed Theodore before. With the surname "Chandler", it is quite appropriate that he should have become a Grocer. It's nice to see that he provided a home for his mother in her later years.

Hi Dick-
I traced(or chased, LOL) Theodore through the census records, I don't think I ever found a death notice for him. I have him last on the 1920 census at approx. 90 years old with daughter Mary and son Howard M, Howard appeared to be a printer. They lived in the 29th Ward of Philadelphia, at 2322 Oxford St.

I hope his wife Jane got along with Mary, it seems Mary lived with them for most of their marriage.
