In a reference on Google Books, i find a 'Gus LaCour' who took the census for Liberty County, I'm trying to see if I can find out if he was in fact my great great great grandfather who would have been in the area at the time-

Hi-
I find Gus Lacour in several US Civil War records, he served in the CSA, He was born in Louisiana, yet lived most of his life in Liberty or Jefferson County, TX. I have found him in 1850-1910 census records. He married Mathilde Compere in the 1870s, they had one daughter Agnes/Agnis Lacour, she was born circa 1876. Gus died in 1915, and on his death record it indicates he was buried at Magnolia Cemetery in Jefferson County, TX. -
