Asihfords in London in the 1800-1850 time frame
Hi,
I'm researching my dad's mother's line -- Aishford -- in England. They were from the Clerkenwell area. Would be interested in corresponding with anyone else researching in this area.

Should have been more explicit - Clerkenwell, London. Argh, these parishes (St. James ecclesiastically) are taking some getting used to! It's very different than the Ontario research I've been doing for so many years. I'm new to researching in England.

The Aishford name is far less common than Ashford.However, I recently discovered that at least one of the Aishford children in my line changed their name to Ashford. The two names may have been used interchangeably. Has anyone else found this to be the case?
