I am starting a discussion about William Musteen because I am unsure of some documents I found on the internet. I have attached what I found. Some I didn't use all in the documents just parts of them I put into notepad.
I have been trying to prove he is my 4th greatgrandmother's (Elizabeth Musteen) father. She was born in South Carolina in 1785. He was in the Pendleton District in 1785.
William Musteen was in the 3d continental regiment in Georgia with Gideon Booker as his captain.

Any help appreciated.

Here are more documents. I also found a William Musteen in Ireland and he wasn't a very good character. I believe he is the same William Musteen who came over here from Ireland.

What I would like to know also did he desert or was he taken prisoner by the enemy?

Thank you but I already have this. What I am unsure of is whether or not he deserted or was taken prisoner by the enemy. I do know he was granted land but was unable to accept so his Captain Gideon Booker accepted for him. I have even tried to find information about Captain Booker but to no avail. Quite frankly I don't understand any of it. I do know William Musteen was still in the Pendleton Distict as of 1792 or 1793 because he bought items from an estate of someone whose last name was Lindsey, deceased.
