I run from the so call professional. I have only been researching my family story since 1964 and as I am 70 I feel that I will never obtained the intermediate level, let alone the advance or or professional level.

    Sorry Sheila. My surname of interest is CLANTON. I had joind the CLANTON group just before I come across your CANTON group and hit the request button. I have no CANTON surnamed individuals in my data but many CLANTON and have already made family connection through the CLANTON group.

    I note that your name is ROWLANDS. One of my lines is ROWLAND (no "s"). By chance do you have an mavercks with out the "s". My kin is primarly in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

    Hi, I have been researching the Vance family for 40+ years some of whom moved to Missouri. I have a copy of the material compiled by Vida Velton Vance, now deceased, who lived at Mexico, MO. Her husband was descended from the same Vance pioneer in WV that I am. Do you know any Vances in the area?

    looking at your Surnames of Interest, I would guess that you are descended from the Adam Poole Vandiver line... would that be correct?
    Maybe you could fill us in a little on your 2nd and 3rd generation up?
