    I have always said that the biggest thing genealogy has taught me is to WRITE THINGS DOWN.  I am constantly frustrated by lost stories, poor recording keeping and the like.  In addition, I have always said that my dad's story is fascinating and that it should be shared.  So that's what I'm going to do.  I'm going to write it down and share it with others.  This crazy journey my family has been on has covered almost two decades, a lot of emotions and a lot of discovery.  My gift to my dad is the preservation of his story.
