Advanced Family History Researcher
If you are a genealogy expert, what are your specialties?
I don't know if I'd call myself an expert, I do have about 10 years of Internet research experience. I've gathered information from relatives for over 35 years since I was a kid. I have a knack for finding really bad spellings and transcriptions.
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
I heard lots of stories as a kid and always wanted to know the history and truth behind them. My family also had brickwalls and I wanted to see how many I could break. I've managed to get all of my ggggrandparents information and just have two brick walls from before that. I became more interested a few years ago when I found out that a majority of my ancestors, including several 4th great grandparents are buried in OR, WA and ID and I have dozens of pioneer ancestors.

My Weidlers came from Stadorf, Hanover, Germany and settled in the Chicago area. A branch of the family moved to Iowa and another branch moved to Minnesota.
