For what reason did you start genealogy research?

I started researching my Mother's heritage after seeing several boxes of old photos that belonged to my Great Great Grandparents Allen H T & Algenora (Bradbury) Crooker. I was just fascinated by the old photos and wanted to know who they were. After having figured out who most of the people were that are in the pictures, I am now almost exclusively researching the Crooker Surname. I have over 250 books in my personal library. Most of my library is filled with Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts books and CDs. However, I have other books and materials where the surname Crooker has appeared.
