My ancestor, Mahala Ennis was from Burke County, NC...born in 1820. She was Cherokee, married an Irishman, Charles Ackles. Trying to find her parents.

My NC ancestors are from the Bruce, Guilford county area. GGrandfather Charles R. Harris b. abt.1873, GGGrandfather Rufus Harris b. 20 APR 1844 and wife Angeline Miller b. 1847, GGGGrandfather Joseph Harris b. abt. 1815 and wife Harriet b. 1812. I find very little on them or their spouses.

Hi, I am an avid North Carolina researcher. If you need help finding something or need to locate records, please let me know. My specialities are Randolph, Sampson and Caswell Counties, but I am familiar with others as well.

I have a multitude of ancestors in Ashe Co., NC from the formation of the county to relatives now living there. It's such a beautiful county! Now don't make me homesick!

Best thing to do is study the migrations of people in North Carolina ... look at the national groups and where they settled, when and where they went a generation or two removed.

My Tucker ancestors are from Ashe County, NC before 1890.
