I have a brick wall in about 1795 with Antonio Rossini born in Como who migrated to Scotland and married in 1819. I am trying to find his parents but not sure if he was born in Como the city or Como the Provence. An Italian genealogist has advised that unless I can locate a village where he was born I may have to visit over 400 parishes taking about three years.

any thoughts or comments?
