There is an Online Video for Version 2009 here:

Earlier Version of Family Tree Maker

There are a number of User to User Message Boards. This first link will take you to a list of Family Tree Maker GenForums based on the problem that you are trying to resolve:

When posting a message on any of these message boards, it is MOST HELPFUL to mention the Version of Windows that you are using, and the Version of Famliy Tree Maker that you are uisng. You can determine that by clicking on Help, then About Family Tree Maker. That will help the Users help you.

It is also helpful to be specific as to what the issue is or the question is, based on what you see in Family Tree Maker. If there is an Error Message, please provide the specific Error Message. What you see and what you expect to see is also helpful.

Yes.

If you have additional questions, please start a new discussion. It's easier in the long run to reply and keep track of replies.

Hello - just to introduce myself. I'm new to Family Tree Maker having been given FTM 2009 (UK) in August and recently updated to FTM 2010. I managed to transfer my old file from 'Family Tree v.3' via GEDCOM via MyHeritage freeware. Have added lots of info. since and used many of the Ancestry hints (leaves) but am still having a number of problems which I will list as separate discussions.
Greetings to all (and thanks in anticipation).

I did put the pictures in the scrapbooks, I don't know how to make them show up in the family group sheets.

Barb -- Please remember that Photos go in the Scrapbook feature. There is an ICON on the Family Tree Maker tool bar for that. Hope that helps. --- Russ

I have FTM 2006, I just started a new tree for a friend of mine, I want to add photos of the people that will show on the family group sheets, but I don't remember how to do it, can someone refresh my memory?

Ann,

In Family Tree Maker, look at the person with the children who shouldn't be there, go to the People Workspace, Person Tab, Relationship Tab. What is the relationship between this person and the children?

I downloaded FTM 2010 yesterday, and copied a family project from TMG. I discovered that it had added children to a person had did not have any! I doubled checked the information in TMG just to make sure that the information was correct, and copied the family project again. It did the same thing again. Has anyone else had this problem?
