Thank you for sending the info on Adrah. I always thought she had such a pretty name and now I'm happy to meet someone of her family. Brenda Messer has probably done more Messer research than anyone I know. I only live about 30 minutes from her and have one of her books. Stay in touch!

Samuel Dean was born 1833 Putnam City, TN his father was Francis Dean born around 1800 in McMinn County, TN. At some point they were in Alabama as Francis' youngest daughter was born in AL. Francis was married to Polly Hicks. I have not been able to find the parents of Francis Dean. Some of our line ended up in CA and some in AZ.

My Deans are from Ozark County, MO. Samuel Dean was born in TN then moved to MO. Most are still in MO.

Hi, I descend from Fredrick Messer's brother David. David and his second wife, Mary McCarson Boyd Messer had my great-grandma, Mary Messer, in 1866. Mary married William Thomas Justice - and they had my grandpa, William Crawford Justice in 1891. My grandpa married Maggie Corn (from Georgia) and had my dad in 1924. I was born in 1948 in North Carolina where I still live. A friend who lives in Idaho told me about this site yesterday and I joined. I am so glad to find someone so soon who is researching the same family. I continue to add 'branches' to the family tree. I am especially happy to meet someone doing the line of Uncle Fed's daughter Adrah. I have no information on her except that she may have married a Mr. Parker and I don't even know if that is correct. I would LOVE to correspond with you on this family and share and compare notes. You can post here or e-mail me at letsgoresearching@yahoo.com.
Take care,

Hi Cousin Susie! Glad to see you here. FYI, I haven't finished looking around yet, but there IS a HALL group on here. I keep meaning to ask you about your RIDDLE and PARKER connections. Bennie (my husband) races with a Jason Riddle here in the DFW area. And Jason has a (half?) brother with the last name PARKER. E-ya later. Vickie E. . . .
