James Bostick was manumized oct. 23, 1800. the documement was recorded oct.25, 1802. I found it in the SC state archives. Also set free at the same time was Judah and her son Henry. Where do you think there is a document acknowledging paternity. In the manumission papers he refers to James as my mulatto boy James.
I think Joel married Angelina and settled around Oraangeburg (I'll check that when I return home) Joel was the brother of John Bostick who would have been my great grandfather. My granfather Joel moved to NC around 1920
