I am back to doing genealogy research after having to take a break of several years because I just didn't have time to spend on it. I'm starting with my Cox line and have come upon an interesting book online called The Cox Family in America that gives a lot of history on the several Coxes that came to America from England, Sweden, Holland, Scotland to name some. I am looking for parents of my ancestor, Isaac Cox, who married Mary Wise. Isaac & Mary moved from Greene Co, PA to WV (then VA) sometime around the mid-1800's. If you have any info on this line of the Cox family, please let me know. Thank you.

Brenda, that's what I've come to think. I think she was a much younger second wife;looking at the age of Daniel's kids.

One of the Cox families that settled in Virginia was that of John Cox son of William Cox and Elizabeth Hutchins.People forget what used to be the Virginia Colony became three states Virginia, Kentucky, and West Virginia. There other Cox families that settled in that area however I'm not familiar with their ancestry.
I actually live in WV, but as far as I know, none of my COX family are from here! I will try to see if there is anything in my COX book, though.
