I'm starting to unravel information on my father's side of the family.  My maiden name of Pooler.  

For a long time my father's family specifically the Poolers have been a big mystery to me.   My father enlisted in the Navy in 1950.  He served during the Korean War.  His home port for many years was San Diego, California.  He was stationed at Great Lakes, Chicago where he met my mother in 1953.  She was sixteen.  They saw each other as much as they could and were engaged after 6…

"In the Beggining"

I originally decided to start searching my families genealogy when there was a scare that my mother was very ill and was told my mother had 6-8 more weeks to live.  She was diagnosed with Pulmonary Artery Disease.  With lots of prayers she is still with us today.
