Thalia,
Dr. Estela Cifre de Loubriel published a book a while ago with names of Canary Islanders. The book is titled "La formacion del pueblo puertorriqueño: La contribución de los Isleños Canarios".
I have a copy of the book, Is there a name you want me to look for?

Hi Thalia,
Still looking for your african ancestors?
There's a list available, but it only includes the town of Ponce:

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~poncepr/

If you know the town your ancestors are from you can check on www.footnote.com
Here they have the images for the "Registro Central de Esclavos". Before emancipation slave owners had to give the names of their slaves, this list is from 1872.

I'm ok, just wishing that all this rain would blow to Isabela Puerto Rico.
My parents ask that I send it their way, it hasn't rained in town for two weeks. :)

Hello,

Have you seen Angela's post on the African Ancestored Genealogy Group on Puerto Rico records? If you haven't already visited the Carribean Forum at www.AfriGeneas.com you might look there. If no leads are found you can always post a query there and I;m sure you will get some follow-up.

Best wishes in your research efforts,

Art
