My Russell line ended up in Colorado ... my grandmother was born in Colorado her father John Wallace Russell was born in Veneago County, Pennsylvania in 1899 and died in Colorado in 1952. John Wallace Russell's parents were Anna Elizabeth Wallace and Plummer Dean Ruissell both were born in Pennsylvania and both died in Colorado. I have them pretty far back but they are on paper and not in my computer program as of yet.

I have gotten a little farther on my Russell line since I last emailed you. My Russell line starts with Cordie Ruby Russell 1891 TX - 1923 TX. Her parents, John Henry Russell Sr. and Leathia Ann Hargrave, both born and died in TX. John's father, John Sr. was born in Missouri in 1829. The earliest census I have for him is 1880 and he was already living in TX. He married Elizabeth Ethridge who was born in TN, died in TX.

I don't have a lot of information yet but here is what I have. My grandfather was Clarence John Russell. He was born about 1908 in Indiana. His father was Charles Russell who was married to Effie Newton. I believe Charles was born in Indiana but moved to Texas - somewhere in the neighborhood of College Station probably around 1915 or a little later. Their children were Charles (who died at a young age by drowning), Clarence, Ruth, Flossie and Dorothy.
What are the names of your great great grandparents? I'm trying to find my great grandfather's parents and siblings. Thanks for the comment!

Hi Lisa! Do you know much about your TX Russell family? I have the names of my great great grandparents through my step-dad's side and that's about it so far. Maybe we can make a connection.
