I have a Terrance Quinn, but he was from Donegal. He died in about 1777, and is buried in the Drumhome graveyard. I have not found any family in Carlow yet - 90% of my Irish families came from Down, Donegal, Tyrone, and a few in Belfast. But who knows? we may find the connection yet!

Diana - I am a Quinn. My family comes from Leghowney and Ballintra area of Donegal. My g-g-grandfather was John Patrick Quinn, born 1780 in Leghowney, and my g-g-grandmother was Bridget Nancy Murphy, born abt. 1790 in Leghowney. John passed away at about 103 years old; Bridget died at around 75. They are both buried in the Ballintra Graveyard.

My father's mother was Lillian Frances Maltais. She was born 21 Jan. 1882 in Quebec. I have hundreds of names from Quebec and the Perche' region of France, dating back to the 1500's. I am also descended from the Charbonneau family - Eleonore Charbonneau was my g-g-grandmother.

Please contact me!

Hi Diana - thanks for responding. I actually do have a friend who has done a lot of Quinn research. I told her you were here on genealogywise. So maybe she will be in touch with you.

Any of your Byrne family come to Syracuse NY either in 1845 or 1864?
