Family of Harry Murray of New Waterford, Cape Breton Island

Hi,

I'm currently researching my paternal ancestors and am looking for any information on the Harry Murray family of New Waterford, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

Harry Murray was my grandfather and I have found his father, George Robertson Murray as well as his grandfather, George Murray. (my ggg)

Thats where I'm stuck...yup, hit the proverbial brick wall.  I am searching for the names of George Murray's parents. From what I have found he was born in 1831 in Pictou County in Nova Scotia and died in 1885.

The problem is that there are many George Murray's from that area at that time. Without his actual birth date and middle name, if he has one, its next to impossible to know which one he is.

I'm hoping someone out there may have some information or any ideas for searching for him that they would be willing to share with me.
