Hello all,

I hope I am in the right place asking the right question. I am researching the McGoverns of Tipperary who were catholics. I am in NZ and have come to a slight brick wall and need help.

I have a John and Elizabeth McGovern in Australia in the 1800's. They came from Ireland, Tipperary. Elizabeths nee name was Rennick. I found one of their children who had come to New Zealand. His name was James Francis McGovern. On his death cert. it states he was 41 years old when he died in 1904 in NZ. It states he was born in Geelong in Australia. On that info I am going with a birth of approx. 1863/4. I have all from my end from when he came to NZ.

Can anyone help re this couple leaving Ireland sometime in the 1800's (passenger lists  etc) . If anything at all that pops up about this couple I would also like to know. All help and advice very much appreciated. Thank you.
