How to find adoption papers
My grandmother in Parkersburg, wv adopted a boy that is rumored to the son of my father, long before he met my mother. All parties involved are dead now. Is there a way to access adoption records?

It has been my understanding that only the natural parents, adoptive parents, and the adopted person can access those records. However, you might contact the Wood County Clerk's office and see if that has changed. With all parties deceased it might be possible to obtain them. Wishing you the best of luck!
