This is a brand new group created for anyone who happens to be researching the surname Southall. Hopefully it will grow over time and people might be able to link up to each other.

I am looking for two Southall Families-both related.
James H Southall born a 1785 married 17 Nov 1808 Hancock Co Ga Elizabeth Wheelus dtr of Sion and my ancestor Lavinia Cox born 1767 NC died 1851 Twiggs Co Ga
James was son of John Southall 1730 Albermarle Parish, Surry-1798 Sparta, Hancock, Ga & Sarah Talbot
John was son of John Southall Deputy Sheriff 1737- born 1680 Va d abt 1744 Charles Co Va.

John 1730- had a Son A Southall moved to Ill, and married Clarissa Cox "Clara" who is the sister to my Lavinia.
He also had a son John 1771-who married Prescilla Sledge and died Hancock.

Sheriff John had a son Holmon who died in Nash Co NC. I have a little on him.
He also had Mildred, James, William, Henry, Funeau.

This is a group with little found on it. I have two I am researching..One from Halifax Co NC-and one-connected to this one-somehow- in Hancock and Twiggs Co Ga married into the Wheeless-family and Cox family of both areas. Ms. Gerry Hill Albany Ga
