My Mead family were among the settlers of Greenwich, Connecticut in USA. William appears to be the progenitor. Some sources state that the family came from Lydd, Kent. They were Puritans.

My Mead family originated in Somerset and migrated via Bristol to Essex in the late 15th century. The family is well established in the county.

Greetings from Australia. My MEAD family left UK (wise peoples) in 1855 and came to South Australia. They hail from North Curry, Sommersetshire. Samuel and Frances (nee Howe) Mead and 8 children came out.

My Meads were originally from Wendover but moved to London (Marylebone/ Paddington/ Kensington areas) in the early-mid 1800s.
