Hi Dennis,

Azubah Partridge QuiNby was my great great great grandmother on my mother’s side. She and husband Joseph had a son by the name of Archelaus QUINBY. He married Patience Rounds so she became Patience Rounds QUINBY. He died within two years of marriage amd Patience remarried Jacob Brubaker. In doing research a came across Patience Rounds on the Partridge Nest web site listed as “Patience QuiMby Rounfs. That is incorrect, as she was married to Archelaus QUINBY. Hopefully you can set the record straight on Partridge Nest web site

Best regards,

Ron Perkins

Hi Dennis,

After a break of some months, I tried today to look again at the Partridge Nest site, but I got the following error message:

Error establishing a database connection

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi again, Dennis: The name Harriet Chase is familiar, but I'm currently forgetting how I know it.

The Mary Loveland that married your Partridge relative (Cyrus) was the sister of my direct ancestor David Loveland (m. Eunice Wheatley), and David and Eunice's son George Loveland is the one that married into the Hatch family (m. Ruby Hatch). According to the book A History of Norwich VT, my family moved there in 1779. I too still have distant cousins in the area, though my direct ancestor (g-g-father) and his brother (his only known sibling that survived to adulthood) both left around the end of the 1800s. My ancestor died out of state fairly young for his era but his brother and brother's wife moved back to Norwich late in their lives and, as far as I have been able to ascertain, lived there till they died. The latter's widow (Lillian Steel Loveland) wrote some pieces for Vermont History and other publications while living in Norwich. Perhaps this was more information than you wanted or needed to know! :-)

Well, now I'm not sure whether or not the Partridges I mentioned are the correct parents of my Partridge. The birth year is off by 9 years - I didn't realize it. I've been a little over-loaded and went back to double check the records and realized that the birth year was off by almost a decade! They're from the same area and have the same exact name. My relative was Margaret Jane Partridge b 1870 in or around Kemper County, Mississippi. I'm having a really difficult time finding anything out about her. :/ There are so many Partridges in Kemper and Neshoba County, Mississippi and I'm wondering how connected they are since they are so nearby each other and all of them seem to have parents from Georgia.

Thank you so much! What time periods are you researching in the Norwich area?
