As far as the Kerr surname, my great-great-grandmother was Anna Maria Kerr and she married Peter Henry Weiser. I do not know a lot about Anna, but recently found a relative who told me she was born in 1825 in PA to Robert and Mary (Myers) Kerr. Anna was one of 15 children!

The family's name is Beckwith and they own Golden Gate Funeral Homes. They are a black family, and did a wonderful job on my father's funeral! Just thought I'd pass on the info. Maybe you can research them.
