Some of you may know that there's lots of Programs that you can use with Twitter to do more with Twitter, than just the basic view you get on the website. (You can see a few choice Twitter Clients at http://twitter.com/downloads and the full list of everything Twitter Apps related here :http://twitter.pbworks.com/Apps

Personally, I would recommend TweetDeck, as my 1st Choice. It's the original and all time favourite Twitter Desktop App, for all my friends, and many long time users of Twitter that I know. I've also found Seesmic's Desktop useful, and helpful, especially when juggling a personal Twitter Account with a more Geneology focussed one ;) I'm also a big fan of http://hootsuite.com - especially if you have to share a twitter account with more than one person!

I use TweetDeck and appreciate the set up there and the possibility of following Facebook and updating that one as well.

I also use Twilerts to get information on some areas
I use Twitterfox. I don't tweet often but like to be able to follow. Twitterfox is a small ap that sits on the bottom of my toolbar, and I can check it as I am surfing along
Usually I just use the twitter website. I use twitterfeed to announce my blog posts.
When I ran to a problem with Tweetdeck a while back, I started using Seesmic Desktop. It has most, if not all, the features of Tweetdeck, plus, when you DM someone it prevents you from accidently replying into the public stream. That's a big plus if you've ever made that faux pas! I liked it so much that I've never gone back to Tweetdeck, even though the original problem is no longer an issue.
I have just been using the regular site but going to look into tweetdeck now =)
I am now using TweetDeck - I was a Twhirl fan when it was the first app to enable tracking of two different Twitter accounts. After having consolidated all my accounts (I had a personal acct and one for my legal tech business), I am now using TweetDeck again. I love the ability to also post to Facebook within the same program and also access TwitPic and URL shorteners.
I've been moving about, also. TwitPic is home to my pix forever. Also Twittertize works very well for announcements that must be repeated every few hours, such as for Wordless Wednesday. It automatically shortens URLs.
I just downloaded TweetDeck today, and like it! This way I don't have to remember to go to twitter. Funniest thing is that the first few "tweet" sounds it made nearly made one of my cats fall off the table she had been happily snoozing on (it's next to my computer where she can keep an eye on me)! After a thorough inspection, she has determined that it's not a real bird, and no longer pays any attention to it. Thought you might get a chuckle from this!
