Hello -hope someone can help me fill in the gaps of my Burton family.

I have traced them back to Edward Burton 1781-1842 who lived in Walsall, Birmingham. His father may be Thomas Burton c.1740 of Lichfield but this where I am stuck. There may be a connection with the Longnor or Royds Mill Burtons but cannot fill the missing gaps.

Also my great great grandfather was Frederick Marshall Burton who was vice consul to US in Birmingham from 1897-1904. I have been desperately trying to find a photo of him and more info.

If anyone out there can help I would be extremely grateful.

Linda Garcia (nee Burton)

Hi,

My name is Dave Burton from Staffordshire. i was wondering if anyone can help me, I'm currently trying to trace my family back. I've got back to the Burtons of Buckminster Hall and then back to Longnor Hall in Shropshire. does anyone know if the two Burton familys are connected.

Hello my name is Pete Violette and I’m researching a William Burton b. 1760 Dorsetshire, England; d. 1819 Northeast Margaree, Cape Breton. We have traced my Grandmother Josephine (Burton) Melville’s linage back to William. I am interested in learning more about the early history of this region and especially of the Burton family from that area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
