Amanda:

My Dad's Gedmatch number is A460850 and I ran it against your number and came up with a small hit which means it is back pretty far.

Comparing Kit A460850 (*Heidi Haines Handley 4) and A792246 (*DD*aharper66)

Minimum threshold size to be included in total = 700 SNPs
Mismatch-bunching Limit = 350 SNPs
Minimum segment cM to be included in total = 3.0 cM

Chr Start Location End Location Centimorgans (cM) SNPs
14 40,033,911 47,629,241 3.9 1,383

Largest segment = 3.9 cM
Total of segments > 3 cM = 3.9 cM

Then against his sister:

Comparing Kit A513939 (Mary Louise Haines Elgin) and A792246 (*DD*aharper66)

Minimum threshold size to be included in total = 700 SNPs
Mismatch-bunching Limit = 350 SNPs
Minimum segment cM to be included in total = 3.0 cM

Chr Start Location End Location Centimorgans (cM) SNPs
12 47,659,752 51,386,470 4.1 893

Largest segment = 4.1 cM
Total of segments > 3 cM = 4.1 cM

Offer to pay for it. It is amazing how people will change their mind if they don't have to pay for it. Ask for spit as your birthday or Christmas present.
