I think if you want to find apparently unconnected Boyetts, the best place to look when you're out of leads is the other unconnected Boyetts who live nearby. I prefer to build my trees from the census, especially now since it's free. For example, yesterday I found Henry Boyett and Allie Guy in the 1850 Pike County, AL census even though the online search engines did not have them listed at all. I had to look page by page, and there they were. His father was David Boyett, but has anyone found David's father?

I am looking for any information I can find on Redding Boyett who probably started life as Riding Boyd, possibly son of David Boyd who died in Tattnall County, GA after 1820. David could be the key to many mystery Boyetts in my opinion, including the several Bennett Boyetts of Covington County, Alabama.

Who is your mystery Boyett of the South? Where does your brick wall form? What do you know about them already? Two heads are better than one!

Hello Scott, I do know David Boyett's father. He was William Boyett. I found his will that listed David and Michael Boyett as his children
