Am descended from LAWRENCE RICHARDSON (About 1606-1666) who emigrated from England to Virginia around 1645 and moved to Anne Arundel County, MD in 1649 with his wife, Sarah, daughter Sarah, and son Lawrence.  He appears to have had two servants, Robert Goodjeon and Thomas Talldersby.  Have not been successful in locating his origins in England.  Would love to correspond with any descendants.

The Richardson side of my family all came from Scotland, mostly around Banffshire. I have managed to trace as far as Andrew Richardson (b. 1809) who married Isabella Mary Cruickshank. Andrew's parents were John Richardson and Helen Fleming according to the Statutory Death record for Andrew.(d. 1884). I haven't been able to find anything yet John or Helen. Andrew was father to James Richardson (b. 1836, d. 1869), he was father of James Gordon Richardson, who was the father of Alexander Richardson(b.1884). He was father of James Gordon Richardson ( my father b 1916 in Ayrshire, Scotland). I would love to make contact with anyone from this line, especially in Scotland.

Linda - I, too, am in George and Mary Ann's line...through Samuel, their son.

I am descended from George and Mary Ann (Pearson) Richardson from Wroot, Lincolnshire, England. Their children were baptized in Hatfield Parish, Yorkshsire. The family immigrated to Canada in the 1830's and then moved to Michigan in the early 1860's. I am interested in finding any descendants of the family who stayed in England. I believe George had several siblings who did not emigrate. I have DNA results for this Richardson line and would be glad to hear from someone and share our information.

My Richardsons came to the U.S. from Kirkbymoorside, Yorkshire in the 1840s.  My g3grandfather, Jonathan Richardson (a shoemaker), and his wife, Agnes Buck, arrived in Lake County, IL in 1849.  Jonathan's older sister, Elizabeth (Richardson) Walton had come a few years earlier with her husband and children.  Jonathan bought land next to the Waltons, as did a neighbor from Kirkbymoorside.

I am descended from the Richardson's of Mount Desert Island, Maine, through my mother Kathryn L. Richardson. I have been looking for the families of her uncles, George Richardson and Authur Everett Richardson. Sons of John William Richardson The line is through Stephen Richardson who settled on the Island in 1763 after his brother James Richardson. I have contacted descendants of James Richardson but have not located mine, as of yet.

G'day everyone. Ralph here, just new at this and wanted to say Hi, so Hi to all.
I am descended from William Richardson of Eckford, Roxburghshire in the Scottish Borders. He was my 6 x Great Grandfather. I am actually a double Richardson as my fathers maternal grandmother was also a Richardson, but as yet I have not tied both Richardson families together. Hope to hear from someone one day. Take care, see you later, cheers for now

We have only traced back to William Richardson born around 1833 in Scotland. He came to Canada as a cabin boy and ended up in Peterborough, Ontario. The family then went to Bathgate, North Dakota - our branch went up to Saskatchewan and then to Alberta. I would love to find out more about William but can't seem to get further back. We think his wife was Maggie Miller.
