In 1999 The Manitoba Archaeological Journal Published a book on the Little Britain Site (Archaeology Today Vol 9 # 2).  In this book (P. 28) there is a set of pictures of Donald Gunn and his wife Margaret (Swain) Gunn.  the credits indicate the pictures were provided courtesy of the St. Clements Historical Committee.  Does anyone know of this group?  Or is there anyone that might have the picture of Margaret (Swain) Gunn?  I would very much like to get a copy (Digital or regular) of Margaret.  I already have a very nice picture of Donald Gunn.

Robert- I have some pictures I took of headstones at Little Britain chuchyard a few years ago if you are interested.

regards Carolyn

Carolyn - Thank you very much, I would be very interested in any pictures you might have from the Little Britain churchyard. When I visited Winnipeg several years ago I really did not know where all to look so missed things I really wanted to see.  My direct e-mail is rjpark at helixtel dot com.  Thanks agaiin for the offer.

Looking for information on Elizabeth Swain who married Bakie Sinclair.

I have several Elizabeth Swains' in my listing, none of whom married a Bakie Sinclair.  Who were Elizabeth's parents? What were the dates of these people?  I do not have the later generations.

Hello Robert, I have Swain in my Family Tree.Elizabeth Swain was married to John McLeod and was the daughter of James Swain. My Great Grandmother Matilda McLeod was from the union between  Elizabeth and John. That is about all I know .Most were from Manitoba Canada.  Allan Johnson asjoh@aol.com

Is the info below your family Robert ?  They are in my family tree.In 1829 daughter Elizabeth Swain married John McLEOD (1793-1872) from Scotland.

In 1819 at York Factory, daughter Margaret married Englishman Donald GUNN (1797-1878), an assistant trader from Trout Lake Post.

Elizabeth Swain and John McLeod were my Great Great Grandparents. There daughter Matilda married David Foulds.  My Grandfather Alexander H Foulds was the 4th child from that marriage.  Allan Johnson
