I could use some help locating census info for 1851 on John and Nancy (Parks) Livingston(e). They had one son, Freeman b. 1844 and possibly another, David b. 1854. I have been able to locate Freeman from 1861 on. But no info on his parents. I believe they may have been living in Prince Edward Co. area of Ontario.. Any additional info or leads for this couple would be welcome.

My Great grandfather, Louis Gagnon, born in Quebec in 1871m immigrated to Onaway Mich {not sure when} married Kate Crivea, also from Quebec, and raised his family there, including my grandmother, Clara Cora Gagnon, who became Cora Peacock.

Hi all;

This was posted on FB, just wondering if anyone has access to Newfoundland newspapers from 1965 and be willing to look for this clipping. I did some editing on the blurb.

This newspaper clipping we think was in the St. John's NFLD newspaper, probably in June or July of 1965. As you can see, the first part of it has been cut off, probably what identifies this little girl who now lives here in BC. She was adopted from this photo, we think. Her adoptive mother has recently died and she found this while cleaning out her safe. Can anyone out there help us find her natural family? Anybody want to go sleuthing through micro-fiche / microfilm in a library back there? She was told she is from Cornerbrook but the back of this clipping mentions streets in St. John's. Please SHARE this everyone!

Thanks.

Al

My Hubert Charles MARTIN, single, occupation carver, emigrated to Canada from Frome, Somerset, England on 3 May 1907. Port of departure was Glasgow, Scotland on the Cassandra and embarkation some 24 days later in Montreal/Quebec. There is a potential sighting of him in a border crossing from Canada to the US (Port Huron, Michigan)for Sep 1907. There is a further border crossing for 24 May 1916 to Detroit. Such border crossings  may be an indication it is my ancestor since his aunt lived in Dakota. I have been unable to find him in the 1911 Canada Census but am lead to believe by a distant family member in the US that he died in 1952 in Saskatoon. Any help in learning more of this ancestor would be appreciated.
