Hi - I see you are working oin Bartel. Are they German? I descend from one of 3 brothers and a sister who hailed from Brunswick Germany. He was Charles Calvin Bartels. Sometimes without the "s" His brothers were Henry and Frederick and their older sister was Augusta. She entered into an arranged marriage with Henry Kleffman of York PA. Charles married Sophia Jane Wohlford. Both born 1851. Charles died 1926 and Sophia Jane in 1934.
