I have just upgraded to Legacy 8

There is supposed to be an option within Legacy using an ugrade link on the home page to do this. However, my version 7.5.0.278 says I have the latest build and does not offer the upgrade offer. I followed the download route.

However, what has really upset me is that all surnames have been capitalised. No longer can I differentiate between Macdonald and MacDonald, or McLean and Mclean.

Just installed V8 and have issue with "Potential Problems" feature. I have someone who died 21 Sep 1993 and put buried on 24 Sep 1993. In events I show "Eulogy" and "funeral home" and used the 24 Sep 1993 date. It is coming up potential problem with "event date out of range"  When I click on it to clear the problem the box shows "There were no problems found" and nothing is listed in the box???? Am I missing something or is this a glitch? Anybody else with this problem and does anyone know how to fix this?

Lewis, I've tried Legacy 7.5 using Wine on my Debian system. It runs--mostly. I have not been able to get Legacy to recognize any of my CUPS printers, so Legacy then refuses to generate any reports and crashes. There are other issues with Internet access via Legacy. I don't really recommend it, but your mileage may differ. Legacy 8 starts, but I don't see any data so it's currently unusable.

Legacy and Linux: will Legacy (7.5) run under  WINE in a Linux machine?  I'm

about fed up to eyebrows with this Windoze crap. :-(

 Thanks for any info.   ...lew...

I have marked a person as 'Invisible' and they have duly been removed from reports generated by Legacy on my desktop.

However, the person still appears in my online database (I use TNG).

Why is this?  The help advice says it should not.

Ron, thanks, I knew there was a way. I just could not find it. Thanks again, Merry Christmas to everyone.

Phillip H. Pitzer: I have only looked at the Descendant Book Report, but usually it will be the same for all. On the right hand side of the Report Options page there is a box "Page Set up.....", click and select "Footers"

With Legacy 7, when I printed out a report, it would add compiler information at the bottom of each page in small print. I can not find in Legacy 8, deluxe, how to have compilare information to be added on reports. Anyone out there know how to turn on this option? Thanks.
