Hi John and Sandra lets see what we can come up with in my enquiry and yes I totally agree Geniaus then we can go to another part with out cluttering up this one which is what I am about to do below, so here goes:
Sophia Louisa Wilhelmina AUFDERHEIDE,
daughter of Christian Heinrich (Henry) AUFDERHEIDE
and Gesche Margaretha(E) FUNCK,
was born about 1867 in Summertown, South Australia,
and died on 19 Mar 1902 in North Adelaide, South Australia, aged about 35.
Sophia married Robert Samuel TROWBRIDGE (also known as Robert) in ??.
Robert was born about 1889 in Snowtown ??? South Australia,
William Henry TROWBRIDGE was born on 7 Jun 1886 in Nantawara, Sth Aust,
and died on 8 Jan 1887 in Cameron, South Australia.
Edith Louisa TROWBRIDGE was born about 1892 in Snowtown, Clare, South Australia,
and died in 1982 in Adelaide - South Australia, aged about 90.
In or aroud this time they headed for Ballarat in Victoria hence the births in the Sth East
Eva May TROWBRIDGE was born on 30 Jan 1895 in Reedy Creek , South Aust.
Died ??? Married??? Children???
Alice Catherine TROWBRIDGE was born on 27 Jul 1897 in Kingston SE, South Aust,
Died??? Married??? Children???
Frederick Joseph TROWBRIDGE was born on 27 Sep 1899 in Kingston SE, South Aust,
Died??? Married??? Children???
Albert Edward TROWBRIDGE was born on 11 Sep 1901 in Hyde Park, South Australia,
and died on 9 Oct 1964 in Whyalla, South Australia at age 63.
Edith Louisa TROWBRIDGE (daughter of Sophia Louisa Wilhelmina ) was born about 1892 in Snowtown, Clare, South Australia, and died in 1982 in Adelaide,South Australia aged about 90.
Edith married Edwin George CHEESEMAN,
son of William Albert CHEESEMAN and Katherine Gertrude SMITH,
on 4 Aug 1909 in Snowtown Methodist Manse.
Edwin was born on 27 Feb 1890 in Snowtown, South Australia,
and died on 27 Oct 1966 in Belair , South Australia, at age 76.
William Albert has vanished as well with out trace.
Edwin George was born out of wed lock.
All the above is linked to the one family and are the brick walls
Hopefully there will be some answers that may help fill the gaps?

I have a Neil William Trowbridge b 1944 in my tree. He married a cousin od mine in the 1960,s. she was born in Ceduna as were their 3 children. I don't have Neil's birth or ancestor details, but could he fit?

Bob sorry about the delay in answering
the name does not seem to ring any bells but it is quite possible he may be linked to the whyalla crowd
being that far over on the coast.Then again I could be wrong.
In answer to the piece you placed about burials.
It is a good start to find out more info from the council involved in where you think they are buried as they can do a very quick check on their data base, I remember I had a bit of trouble once where some were buried and went to 4 councils and found that the last one had 3 in their area and after a quick scout on the DB they found who I was looking for and to top it off they even rang the curator and arranged to have him meet me at the site, couldn't have wished for better service.

Sandra Thank you ever so much for that rather large file
But we still didnot find dear old EDITH TROWBRIDGE's birth date
Did you note the way her mother's name was spelt different ways
So now I am presuming that may be the case with the TROWBRIDGE's
as was the norm in those days and beyond.

Hi Wayne,
Yes did notice the different spellings of the mother, that's why I did a generic search under TR* which would bring up anything remotely like Trowbridge/Trubridge or the like.
No could not find Edith's birth or the parents births (Sophia and Robert).
Will look again shortly, had some others to help today as well.

I tried to answer last night but this "go daddy" host server kept coming up Oh no I thought someone has hijacked the site but according to my lad the computer wiz found that genwise went off the air for some reason maby because it was the big launch and their servers could not handle the traffic and shut down, and I have tendency to believe that .

Lewis Thank you for your reply but it is not the one I am looking for although they are part of the Trowbridge family as in those days they just wrote what they thought was right as it sounded.
The lady I am looking for is Edith Louisa Trowbridge and her father was Robert (also known as Samuel) and her mother was called Sophia Aufderheide ( also known as Fanny Louisa).
But battle on as we may and it will appear out of the blue just like that.

William in South Australia as he was married twice and had 8 children of whom I have the christian names.I only know the name of his second wife. I am also looking for info on James and Jane Whiteford who arrived in Adelaide. S.A. on board the Shackamaxon from Liverpool on the 18 January 1853 with 3 children one of whom I am descended from another William!! They were born in Renfrew Scotland 1823" -
