Looking for my mums birth

Hi Everyone,

 

I wonder if anyone can help me.  I know my mother Anneliese Weseley (Wesely or Vesely) was born in 1927 in Mettmann Germany.  Are there any Online resources where I can find her family or birth?

Ahoj Ursula,

 

Saw the tree.  Very nice.  Gather that it was your maternal line. Hope mine was viewable.

If your old document copies are digital (eg .jpg, etc), forward some to me, or send to me the URL to pull them up.  Of late, I have been immursed in those old records and am beginning to get comfortable with some of the script and at least the terms necessary to extract the vital data. Although, in advance, no promises. Use my email please, no sense in clogging up this BB.

Hi Pavel,

 

I've just sent you a private message with my email address.  The documents are paper copies.  I'll have to scan them of..but first have to find them.  I've put them somewhere 'safe'!

 

Thank you very much for your kind offer.  It might also help me with learning how to transcribe these types of documents.

Hi Ursula,

here you have to write to the city hall direcly and ask for the birth record of your mother. Records after 1900 are censured in Germany and only the city hall can give you a copie of this record. Here the address you need:                               Standesamt Mettmann
Neanderstr. 85
40822 Mettmann

Germany
