OH Pat! I plum fergot about that 3rd wife. Now I must tell your the Berry family my genes run down are crazy nuts... my father and his siblings were very popular in the family and with friends because they were crazy people, laughing till you dropped to the ground. The earth lost some great story tellers also with their passing. I just wonder if this crazy could be partly due to all that braiding of family genes into one another. Even in my generation two first cousins wanted to marry.

Patricia, your line comes down through Jean Baril's second wife? Which child of their's? I think Jean had about 15 children..so it seems families were folded into families... My other line which came from the same area..were the Beaulac/Bolack family. The Baril/Berrys didn't in my line didn't marry until much later, ... well may have before..but what I found... it was the late 1880 I think, when they connected, in N.W. Ohio... Another sir name is Lapoint.

Yes, I will certainly befriend you in F.B. Where do you live by the way? I live in Salem, Or. I grew up in the Toledo, Ohio area.

Hey Patricia! I added you to my personal email. Mine is Samantha.Ramey@Rocketmail.com. How far past William Swain Teague have you gotten in your searches? I traced back to Ireland. However, I don't know if that is correct information. I have only been able to use the internet for searches. Haven't got a chance to go to the library or anything yet.

Hello, saw your post of surnames on the French Canadian group message board. Looks like we might be cousins. I have Gagnon, Dion, Charpentier, etc. that come down through my Rondeaus.  Would love to exchange info.

Thanks,
Angela

Hey Pat - The biggest problem with this chatroom is that you don't know who is here. The list at the right is everyone who is on the site or logged into the site is a better way of putting it. I hardly ever log out so it probably shows me here when I am not. I didn't notice it acting up. Sometimes when I log on the people list doesn't show up for a while.

Do you have a manageable source for Birth and Marriage records in North Ireland, Patricia ? I would look for Bernard Quinn in Armagh and then branch out. We did find a cousin for the Woods side of the family who helped us through the data in Castleblayney, Monaghan.

The information I have, Patricia, is that my GGF Bernard Quinn came to Philadelphia from Armagh around 1870. His wife was Elizabeth Murphy, also from Armagh. I was expecting Tyrone because that's where most Quinns come from. I am trying to find Irish data to give me more details,  or evidence of Bernard's other family members who came to the US. Thanks for the question. Bob Quinn

Patricia Jim Avery said I should contact you (He also said I should run after mentioning his name) My 6th g-grandfather was Jacob Teague. Born about 1743 German Flatts, Mohawk Valley. After the Rev war he ended up in New Carlisle, Quebec then New Bandon, N.B. If any of this sounds familiar please get back to me. I do have a fair bit on the descendents. I haven't seen any of the other names you are researching though.

Hi Patricia,

thanks for all of your information. My Quinns hail from Borris, County Carlow. My GG Grandfather, Peter Quinn was born there in 1810. His parents were Terence Quinn and Mary Byrne. He emigrated c1825 and settled in St. Anicet (Three Rivers area) of Quebec and eventually married Eulalie Joanna Poutry. Several other Quinn boys also ended up in St. Anicet, along with neighbors from Borris by the name of Curren (Currin, Curran). James Curren was Peter's Godfather in Borris, and is also buried in St. Anicet cemetary.

One of Peter's sons married Bridget Higgins, daughter of John Higgins and Margaret Crean, also of St. Anicet and their daughter Mary (Mae) was my maternal grandmother.

If you have any information on any of the above, I would love to hear about it--I am sorry that I have no information on your Quinn line!!
