WHERE in NY??
Candy, nice to hear from you again, I'm in the midst of a rather hurried move at the moment, but will get back with you soon ( a week or two) and will do more looking for your family, take care until then.
No problem, Take care.Thank you for looking over my information when you can.. No hurry ..
Candy, now I see you are researching in NY and PA both of which are "black holes" for genealogy, not lots online, and possibly info is not always easy to get to offline either. I'll see if I can find anything, but you may well have to resort to sending for information from those states or possibly ordering films from the LDS FHC if any are available for your areas. I'll get back to you soon.

Thank you. Yes I agree with you reguarding the black hole in Pa. I have been working on this side of my husbands family since the late 1980's. Never seem to have anyone respond to any of my searches... NY haas not beene much better... Will love to find anything about the family line...

Candy, forgot to ask, what do you have that's from actual sources? Did you get info on James from sources, or is most of your info from information from family or others? Just looking for a starting point, what documentation do you have on James or his family or descendants so I am sure I'm on the right trail, thanks!!

Off hand  I believe it was one William P Rogers death cert. I'll see if I have flash drive with me.. My paper copies book is so large I don't take it with me.. I have census papers as well. Also have a paper from the historian in Steuben Co That list James as William P Rogers'father.

No I looked on flash drive and had a note one side of paper that states information came from Steuben CO historian.. Listed as unknown by daughter of Wm P Rogers. on death certificate.

that was most likely information from Me, Got the information from Steuben Co Historian. Have not been able to find anything else about Ebenezer. Have tried to get information from the Historian in Steuben Co to resend the information to me.But seems like a dark hole. If you ask more than one set of questions the others get lost...???

Yep it was set up about 10-15 yrs ago. On the family line of my father..
