William M. Holland [according to forums his mother was buried by the roadside on the Trail of Tears. He was born: 

	Mar. 14, 1850 Tennessee
Death:	Nov. 15, 1933 Keithville Caddo Parish Louisiana

Arnold Holland (1851 - 1922)    Children:   William Frank Holland (1875 - 1923)*   Chestley Dewitt Holland (1878 - 1952)*   Joe Holland Nelson (1881 - 1949)*   Bertye Holland Midyett (1887 - 1959)*   Mayme Holland McWhiney (1889 - 1960)* Chestley Dewitt [Dee] Holland married  Exa Caroline White Holland (1881 - 1926)  and  Louise Peebles Holland (1885 - 1978)* Exa Caroline White had a full blood Cherokee father called Grandpa White. I want to find William Holland's mother & Exa Caroline White's father. Exa:  Birth:  1881 Death:  1926   Family links:   Spouse:   Chestley Dewitt Holland (1878 - 1952)*    Children:   B D Holland (1900 - 1944)*   Burial: Forest Hill Cemetery Livingston Polk County Texas, USA I also need info on her connection with the Nelson family; as I could inherit a few artifacts passed down.

Native American ancestors are surprisingly difficult to find! I need information on John Soloman [Salmon] Kimbrough b.  BET 1685 & Dec 21 1701 of Chief Cornstalk & Chief Powhatan Indians/St. Peter`s Parish, New Kent, Virginia d.  1720 Rappahannock, Louisa, Virginia & daughter Hello Morning Kimborough. His wife is Supposed to be Cherokee. Elizabeth [Saleda?] Spiller b.  1668 Surry, Surry, Virginia d.  1780? 1730? [62] or [112]? England [Morning or Mary Ann has a daughter named Mourning. Morning was said by 1 person to be half sister of Nancy Ward.  Elizabeth's mother may be Five Knives, U. D. b. 1678 d. 1741 m. Justice William G. Spiller d. 1774

My great grandmother, Ruth Spear, was born in the Indian territory Oklahoma in 1894.  My mom's cousin thinks Ruth was Cherokee, but I have not found any evidence of that.  Does anyone have suggests for my research?  I'm new at this

Dinah so glad you found me! I've been looking for years for Mary Polly. There are so many story about her and her sister Ciley. Excited to share information. My father was Burl Dotson his father Abraham Lincoln Dotson. Hannah Hayden was my fathers mother and her mother was Charlottie Phillips. Charlotties parents are Adam Phillips and Delilah Qualls. I'm searching the Dotson line. Looking for help finding Mary (Polly) Raincrow 1813-? She was the wife of my 3rd great grandfather,Doctor Floyd Dotson1813-1904. Mary's father I think is Joseph Raincrow. Any help will be appreciated.

Posting a long shot here - looking for descendants of a ROWE family who were located in the Creek Nation in Alabama in the early 1800's.  This area became Talladega County.  Three sons of this family ended up in Texas by 1855 - William P. born 1816; Abram C. born 1817; and Solomon J. born 1818.  We don't know the father's name, but using an educated guess, we believe he was a John ROWE.  No clue at all as to the mother's name.

 

This family changed the spelling from ROWE to ROE once they arrived in TX.  If even a tiny bit of this sounds familiar, sure would like to hear!
