Linda, according to the Ancestry.com support area, the best place to put the Jr. or Sr. or III (etc.) is to put them after the first and middle names.

I have a beginner question: how do I record multiple generations of same name? They went way beyond Jr and Sr and on into roman numerals! If I put the Sr/Jr/ etc in the name in my Ancestry tree it wont search right and if I leave it off WAY too confusing-any advice? Thanks

There's a new episode of The Genealogy Guys Podcast available. Darn it, though - we just missed the news about Ancestry.com acquiring Footnote.com! More on that as we learn more.
