I just realized I never did answer your questions regarding researching your family. I already have quite a bit of information done and the tree is kept in Ancestry.com. I have not had the time to go pull public records because my visits up there are short and devoted to visiting with my parents, as my Dad suffered a stroke and is an invalid now. There is quite a bit you can get via the internet and public records. I often send away for death certs, obits, etc...to validate my data. There are fees for these documents but I don't do that often.
Tell me your lineage...which stiglitz are you related to? Is it Frank? If you have any old pics like the one you sent, that would be cool to see them. I only have a few pics of Barbara Stiglitz with her family, the only one I have of her siblings is the one I sent to you. Old Bibles also usually tell a lot if families kept them updated.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I finally have a picture of the bar. I swear this picture aImost brought me to tears! Can you identify any of the people outside the bar and do you know when it was taken? I have been researching my family for years. You and I so need to chat because I am unaware of your name in my tree and I may be able to provide you with a lot of your Stiglitz branch. My great grandmother was Barbara Stiglitz who married John Blazevich. Let me just say, for me, this picture is priceless to me! I have a family reunion picture taken INSIDE of that bar I believe around 1930 or 1940ish. I'm not sure if I'll do this right but I'll try to attach it here. I can tell you who some of the people are but not all of them have been identified yet.
